    Fast-paced action thriller

Robert Ludlum’s The Bourne Supremacy is the continuation of the novel The Bourne identity. There is nothing similar in the two books except the characters Davide Webb and his wife Marrie. The Bourne Supremacy is a thrilling novel full of political insecurity, betrayal and a plot that keeps you on the edge when you read it. The story revolves around David Webb, a.k.a Jason Bourne who lost his memory in the first book. He has recovered and now is employed as a professor of oriental studies. His wife Marie St Jacques Webb is kidnapped by an unknown force and taken to Hong Kong. He seeks for the help but in vain. Bourne knows he must become a deadly assassin again. An unknown imposter is using his name for the murders. The kidnappers demands the killer Bourne for releasing his wife. Bourne uses dirty tricks to capture the assassin and deliver him alive to the kidnappers in order to get Marie back. He foils planning to plunge the whole of East Asia into nuclear war. Throughout the book Bourne undergoes many changes. The book is well-paced, entertaining and action packed just like the first one. Ludlum succeeded in keeping the real plot a secret until the very end and thrilling the readers, A top-notch action packed, complex novel by Ludlum, the master of the suspense genre. Don't let your attention waver for a minute while reading. I recommend this book for all those who have read “The Bourne Identity”.
