  Horowitz manages to pull off a near perfect homage to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, capturing an authentic narrative voice for Watson and crafting an intriguing and detailed story. It's quite remarkable, genuinely feeling like one of the original stories. And hats off to Infibeam for shipping, I got the book in less than 24 hours of ordering it.

  A fairly engrossing read. Though no Holmes novel can ever match the prose of Conan Doyle, this one matches it in suspense. No regrets buying it. Stylish cover design and thankfully good binding make this paperback a lovely addition to the library of detective story buffs. This novel has actually made me look for other Horowitz's works to read. Though there is a slight slackening of pace in the middle, it still is a good read.
