About the Author :

Prafull Anubhai has been associated with the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) for over forty-five years as visiting faculty and as a Board member. He did his BSc (Economics) from the London School of Economics and attended the Programme for Management Development (PMD) at Harvard Business School. He has thirty years of experience as chief executive of textile manufacturing operations and has been a corporate advisor associated with educational institutions like IIMA, Ahmedabad Education Society (AES), Ahmedabad University, and Centre for Science Technology and Policy (CSTEP).

Prafull is the Chairman of the Board of Management of the Ahmedabad University, a member of the Governing Board of AES and the Honorary Director of Saptak Archives—an institution dedicated towards the preservation and dissemination of Indian classical music. Presently, he is a Director in companies like Unichem Laboratories Ltd., Vardhman Textiles Ltd., Birla Sun Life Trustee Co. Pvt. Ltd, GRUH Finance Ltd. (a subsidiary of HDFC Ltd), and the Emerging Markets South Asian Fund (EMSAF), Mauritius, among others. He lives in Ahmedabad.
