After “The Road Ahead” comes new work from Mr. Bill Gates. As the title suggests, the book is about how companies can use information and communications technologies to transform all their operations. The introduction summarises the 12 key steps that will make digital information flow an intrinsic part of your company and at the end of every chapter, there are business lessons and diagnostic questions. The book mainly focuses on business activity but the book also deals with government, education, health care, and the army. There are 23 chapters divided in below six sections. I – Information Flow Is Your Lifeblood II - Commerce: The Internet Changes Everything III - Manage Knowledge to Improve Strategic Thought IV - Bring Insight To business Operations V - Special Enterprises VI – Expect The Unexpected Each of the section explains the topic thoroughly. He proposes that all government information being shared should be digital and that all government employees should use e-mail. He says that the use of information technologies will enable a company to perceive and react to its environment, to sense competitive challenges and customer needs. He affirms that in the 21st century, a new rule of business is that internet changes everything. This book is really very interesting read for all. Great work by Mr. Bill Gates.
