About the Author :

Jan Haaken has contributed to Speaking Out: Women, War and the Global Economy with DVD as an author. Jan Haaken is a Professor of Psychology at Portland State University. a clinical and community psychologist, and a social justice activist. Much of her work draws on interdisciplinary perspectives and cultural studies, particularly feminist and psychoanalytic cultural studies. Her research interests are in the area of women, abuse and trauma, with a primary focus on analysis of narrative material.
