Jen Green graduated from the University of Sussex with a PhD in English Literature in 1982. She has worked as an editor and manager in children's publishing for 15 years and is now a full-time writer. She has written many non-fiction books for children.

David Antram has contributed to You Wouldn't Want to Be a Polar Explorer! : An Expedition You'd Rather Not Go on as an illustrator. Antram was born in Brighton, England. He studied at Eastbourne College of Art and then worked in advertising for 15 years before becoming a full-time artist.
