About the Author
K.M. Shrivastava is Professor, Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi / Dhenkanal (Professor-in-Charge). He had worked as a journalist in New Delhi for about a decade before becoming the Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Punjabi University, Patiala (Punjab). As a journalist he worked for a regional newspaper, a national news feature syndicate, a rural magazine and a national news agency. He contributed to several media journals and covered Parliament for All India Radio and Doordarshan. He has been visiting scholar at University of Canberra and a visiting fellow at Nagpur University. He has been elected a member of International Council of International Association of Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) for two terms. He is the author of several books on journalism and mass communication.
