"A Textbook of Higher Engineering Mathematics"
(Semester-IV) has been written keeping in mind the interest of all types of engineering students (meritorious, average and below average). As engineering students have to do maximum work in minimum time, so in this book emphasis is on the presentation of the fundamental and theoretical concepts in an intelligible and easy to understand manner. Simple as well as typical examples have been used to explain each theoretical concept. All questions from last ten year papers of various universities have been included in the book at proper places. For the convenience of students reference topics, working rules of lengthy formulae, hints to difficult problems and lists of important results are given in the chapters.
The book has been written after consulting a number of available textbooks by Indian as well as foreign authors, so the author assumes that this book is complete in itself.

is the retired Head of the Department of Mathematics, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar City (a very prestigious 119 years old institution of North India accredited A+ grade by N.A.A.C., U.G.C.). She did her post graduation from Punjab University holding merit position. She has thirtyeight years' experience of teaching graduate and postgraduate classes. During her tenure of service, she remained the member of Board of Studies, Faculty of Sciences, Moderation Committee in Mathematics of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. She also acted as resource person in Mathematics at various summer camps and teachers' training courses. After retirement she worked as visiting professor in Mathematics in a well-reputed Engineering college, D.A.V.I.E.T. Jalandhar. After retirement she started writing books and in a very short span, she has become a very successful author of a dozen of books in Mathematics. Her books on Engineering Mathematics, Differential Equations, Vector Calculus and Calculus of Variation have been widely acclaimed.
