Sustainable development recognizes the value of the natural system that supports life on earth. An increasing number of environmental researches are being conducted on the human causes and impacts of environmental change as well as recognizing that local and regional scales are critical for human dimensions of sustainable development. Such an approach will promote capacity-building, particularly in terms of human resources and networks and policy support activities. The human driving forces of environmental change and their implication to sustainable development are gaining currency these days. Most of the social science disciplines place a strong emphasis on the integrated involvement of human dimension research. Environmental protection, as a component of sustainable development, consistent with poverty eradication, is imperative in resource management. So, the human dimension has to be incorporated into planning with an emphasis on sustainable development.
