The people movement to Christ among the original inhabitants (formerly called the "mountain tribes") of Taiwan has been called a "Twentieth Century Miracle." From 1929 to 1960 about 50% of the eleven different groups of MalayoPolynesian peoples became Protestant Christians "Pentecost of the Hills" utilizes history, politics, sociology, anthropology and missiology to tell their story for the first time. This is not a missionary accountit relates how God raised up local leaders to do the major work of evangelism and nurture.

Ralph Covell has contributed to Pentecost of the Hills in Taiwan: The Christian Faith Among the Original Inhabitants as an author. Covell was a missionary to China and Taiwan for 20 years. He is now Senior Professor of World Christianity at Denver Seminary.

Arthur F Glasser has contributed to Pentecost of the Hills in Taiwan: The Christian Faith Among the Original Inhabitants . Arthur F. Glasser is Dean Emeritus of the School of World Mission at Fuller Theological Seminary. Charles E. Van Engen is the Arthur F. Glasser Professor of Biblical Theology of Mission at Fuller. Dean S. Gilliland is Senior Professor of Contextualized Theology and African Studies at Fuller. Shawn B. Redford is a Ph.D. candidate and adjunct faculty member at Fuller.
