In the context of paucity of literature on Historical Geology the book entitled "Fundamentals of Historical Geology and Stratigraphy of India" by Dr Ravindra Kumar stands as one of utmost value for the students and teachers of Geology both at graduate and postgraduate level. It is equally important as a general handbook for the teachers. The book deals with certain significant topics for the undergraduate and postgraduate level of geological education at the Indian universities.
