About the Author(s):
M.T. Maruthesha Reddy took his M.Sc. (Geology) in 1981, P.M.D.H. (Post M.Sc. Diploma in Hydrogeology) in 1982 and D.E.P. (P.G. Diploma in Environmental Planning) in 1983 from Mysore University, Mysore. He joined as a lecturer in the department of Civil Engineering, M.V.J. College of Engineering, Bangalore in 1983, and promoted as an Assistant Professor in the month of January 1985. Since then he is serving there as an Assistant Professor and is actively involved to submit his Ph.D. thesis on the subject of Hydrological investigations of Hoskote Taluk, Bangalore Rural District, Karnataka, India. Under the guidance of Dr. B.C. Prabhakar, Professor and Chairman, Department of Postgraduate and Research Centre Geology, Bangalore University, Bangalore.

He is a fellow of the Geological Society of India (F.G.S.), Mineralogical Society of India (F.M.S.) and Member of Indian Society for Technical Education (M.I.S.T.E.). He has presented 10 National conference papers, 2 International conference papers and 2 Journal papers. He is also the author of the book?A Textbook of Applied Engineering Geology.
