Ruth Vander Zee has contributed to Eli Remembers as an author. Ruth Vander Zee, teacher and author, has also written Erika's Story, illustrated by Roberto Innocenti (Creative Editions), and Mississippi Morning, illustrated by Floyd Cooper (Eerdmans). Ruth lives in Miami, Florida.

Marian Sneider has contributed to Eli Remembers as an author. Marian Sneider (1934-2005), author and family therapist, wrote professionally for the Miami Herald, Miami News, and the children??'s magazines Highlights and Turtle. Eli Remembers was inspired by events from her own family, and is her first published book for children.
