About the Author :

Simon Williams has contributed to Modern Medicine as an author. SIMON WILLIAMS is Professor of Dramatic Art and Director of the Interdisciplinary Humanities Center at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Michael Calnan has contributed to Modern Medicine as an editor. Michael Calnan is Professor of Medical Sociology in the SSPSSR at the University of Kent, UK. He has worked in medical sociology, health policy and health services research and training for over twenty years and published extensively about a range of health-related issues.

Rosemary Rowe is Service Improvement Manager for Bath and North East Somerset PCT. She has successfully developed a dual career in the fields of health services research and health care delivery, combining her academic research with extensive practical experience of service development and change management within the NHS
