Pneumatic, hydraulic and allied instrumentation schemes have given way to electronics schemes in recent years thanks to the rapid strides in electronics and allied areas. The principles, design and applications of such state-of-the-art instrumentation schemes form the subject matter of this book. In Part 1, the basic building blocks of instrumentation schemes are identified through representative examples, and each of these building blocks discussed in terms of its design and interface characteristics.
