About the Author :

Wallace Earle Stegner has contributed to Sound of Mountain Water as an author. Terry Tempest Williams is the author of "Refuge: An Unnat-ural History of Family and Place; An Unspoken Hunger; Leap; and Red: Passion and Patience in the Desert," A recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship and a Lannan Literary Fellowship in creative nonfiction, she lives in the redrock desert of southern Utah.
T. H. Watkins (1936-2000) was the first Wallace Stegner Distinguished Professor of Western American Studies at Montana State University, and the author of twenty-eight books.
