Hamlet Book Description

Often credited with creating a popular movie audience for Shakespeare, Kenneth Branagh has wanted for many years to bring to the screen the complete, full-length version of Hamlet. His desire becomes a reality when this epic drama, featuring an all-star cast and produced and directed by Branagh, comes to theaters this fall. This tie-in book includes Branagh's Introduction and screenplay, a production diary, color stills, and more.
In this quintessential Shakespearean drama, Hamlet's halting pursuit of revenge for his father's death unfolds in a series of highly charged confrontations that climax in tragedy. The play is reprinted here from an authoritative British edition complete with illuminating footnotes.

    Best Play by Shakespeare

William Shakespeare's "Hamlet" is arguably the most famous play ever written in the English language. This book is based on the tragical history of Prince Hamlet and his family. Old Hamlet wins over old Fortinbras and seizes his land. Many years later when old hamlet is dead, young Fortinbras want to get their land back as well as ruin young hamlet out of revenge. Now the young Hamlet who is clever and distinct from his friends and fellow court members. Hamlet is the Prince of Denmark. He is a thoughtful, rational person. He saves his land and family from Fortinbras with the help of his father’s ghost. best part is when his father’s ghost appears. Shakespeare’s characters have varied dialogues rathe r than using a simple language. The communication among the characters is always strong. there's the ending. William Shakespeare had an obvious fondness for evil endings with twists, deaths and epiphanies. Everything is fine in the novel except the end that bothers me as all the characters are dead by the end of the play. The text is amplified by illustrations and annotations for those unfamiliar with 16th century English, scene-by-scene plot summaries, a short biography of Shakespeare, and introductory and concluding essays in the book. This is a very powerful and unforgettable play by sir William Shakespeare.
