About the Book:
Sarojini Naidu was a true Gandhian who spent her whole life for the sake of her country. At a fairly young age, she had the realisation that the people of our country could not dream of progress unless we achieve Swaraj. She organised the women of India and through her forceful and convincing speeches she brought them under the Congress flag. She herself suffered much along with thousands of satyagrahis who offered their services in the Gandhian Movements. She was a very fine poet and her poetry afforded new dimensions in Indian Nationalism.
The theme deals with several aspects of her long career as a political leader who enthused the people in all the regions of India. Herd oratory was superb and arguments for Swaraj were heard with rapt attention by one and all. This work will help the scholars engaged in the study of the role of women in our freedom struggle.
