About the Author(s):
Dr. V.A.Avadhani was a retired Adviser in the Reserve Bank of India and a past Director of Research and Training in Bombay Stock Exchange. He was also a former Adviser of the Hyderabad Stock Exchange.
Dr.Avadhani was a Gold Medalist from Presidency College, Madras and had a brilliant Academic record. He holds an M.A. Degree in Economics from Madras University, LL.B from Osmania University, another M.A. from Bombay University and Ph.D. in Economics and Finance from the college of Business Administration, University of Nebraska, U.S.A. He is moreover a certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers.(C.A.I.I.B.).
Dr.Avadhani toured extensively in the world and studied central Banks in Asia and Pacific and familiarised with the working of world stock markets like London, New York, Singapore etc. He holds a certificate in the Capital Market studies from the New York Institute of Finance.
A profilic writer, he is the author of more than ten books and has nearly thirty research publications to his credit. He is considered an expert in Capital Market, having authored many books in the area of money, finance, central banking, Indian financial teaching modules for brokers, sub-brokers and investors and conducted a number of Training Programmes in Bombay Stock Exchange and Hyderabad Stock Exchange. He was associated in some form or other with many Stock Exchanges and Investor Associations.
