The title is a prelude to what the book contains and the author would have left no stone unturned in making it a bestseller. After the success of "Eat, Pray, Love", the author is back with details of astonishing conditions that envelope her love with Felipe. All this, after she swore never to marry him.
“Committed” may be a word of celebration, of love, with the complexity and consequences that thrive in the concepts of real love, in the real world. The author, Elizabeth Gilbert has contributed to the book. She has also authored "Stern Men and Pilgrims", a collection of short-stories which was a PEN/Hemingway Award finalist. The book eventually was winner of the 1999 John C. Zacharis First Book Award from Ploughshares. The ‘Committed: A Skeptic Makes Peace with Marriage’ is certainly a novel to look forward to.
