About the Author :

J.C. Aggarwal started his career as a lecturer in a Teachers Training College in 1954 and thereafter worked in different positions in Delhi Administration. He retired as Deputy Director of Education/Executive Director of Delhi Bureau of Textbooks. Singly or jointly he has authored 150 books on Education, History and Current Affairs. His recent publications include: Teacher and Education in a Developing Society; Education Policy in India 1992: Retrospect and Prospect; Learning without Burden: An Analysis; Vedas for the Young; Dunkel Proposals; Teaching of History: A Practical Approach; Teaching of Civics: A Practical Approach; Theory and Principles of Education; Development and Planning of Modern Education; Landmarks in the History of Modern Indian Education; School Administration; Educational Administration; Management and Supervision; Economic Reforms in India; Seven Indian Educationist; Documents on Secondary Education, etc. Shri Aggarwal has traveled widely in India and abroad.
