  Best Short Stories by Jeffrey Archer

  Jeffrey Archer is the master story teller. “Cat O' Nine Tales: And Other Stories” is a delightful collection of twelve stories. Archer claims that nine out of twelve stories are written from the stories of his fellow prisoners during his incarceration in jail and the last three after he released from jail. He listened all the experiences of the inmates and after adding his own embellishment to each, he penned all those in stories. I prefer to read short stories as these don not compel you to finish it in one read. You can read one story at one time. For me, this is the best work from Jeffrey Archer. Jeffrey Archer has you on the edge of your seat with some of these tales. All the stories are plotted skillfully and adroitly. All these provide with more pleasure to the reader just like his previous short stories, A Twist In The Tale- Twelve Short Stories and Twelve Red Herrings. The adding feature is the amusing and engaging drawings of Ronald Searle. The stories are quick, easy to read and attention grabber. The stories actually showcase Archer's talents as a craftsman of short stories. He is the genius. A light and engaging read. This excellent Cat O’ Nine Tales will be on everyone short list for crime caper anthology.
