A pure Jaffrey Archer novel with twists and turns around relationship of twin brothers who gets separated immediately after birth. Nat and Fletcher who make their names in different fields. The book opens with the setting in maternity ward. Mrs. Cartwright gives birth to twin boys. Another lady gives birth at the same time but her child dies. Her nanny doesn’t want her mistress to go through the trauma of losing her child. So, the nanny takes one boy of Mrs. Cartwright and give it to Devenports. Mrs. Cartwright thinks that her one baby is no more. They live in different parts of Connecticut but both are leaders. They both have same personalities and qualities, the similar choices they make, and even naming their children similar names. Nat becomes a Vietnam war hero and a successful businessman, Fletcher goes on into politics. A man named Elliot is killed. He has been in both men's life’s but in different ways. He derailed an ASB election for Nat because of his own running for the job. He also interrupted Fletcher's position in a law firm because he was jealous of Fletcher’s intelligence. After this murder, the two do meet but still do not know they are brothers. Due to this case, the two brothers come together after forty two years. Characters are smarter and displayed the best qualities as leading man in the story. Sensitive story with feelings.

An exceptional story set in different background. One of the best novels of Jeffrey Archer. He deserve a hat off for this brilliantly written novel.
