Jerome K Jerome has contributed to Stage- Land: Curious Habits and Customs of Its Inhabitants. as an author. Jerome Klapka Jerome, author and playwright, is undoubtedly best remembered for the comic masterpiece Three Men in a Boat, though his talents were many and varied. Born on 2 May 1859 in Walsall, Staffordshire, he wrote and travelled widely. In 1927 he was made a Freeman of the Borough of Walsall before his death later that same year. He is buried in Ewelme in Oxfordshire.
