About the Book :
This book is intended to help get existing ASP.NET developers up to with Silverlight 2. The book accomplishes this by walking the reader gradually through the creation of various sample applications that take advantage of Silverlight 2 to accomplish things that would otherwise be very difficult or impossible with ASP.NET alone. The book focuses in particular on each facet of Silverlight that enhances, alters, updates or replaces existing ASP.NET techniques and shows how to program against it to get the most from not only Silverlight but also the ASP.NET delivery platform. At the end of every chapter there is a summary and a lab session, showing how to apply the lessons learned to one of several sample applications.
