He worked his way through law school and became an eminent attorney and journalist, an advisor to Franklin Roosevelt, and a confidant to Andrew Carnegie. Since 1982 the Napoleon Hill Foundation, a nonprofit educational organization, has revived his writings, winning him an immense international audience.

  Motivating ….

  Napolean Hill spent twenty years on studying successful men and how they think. After the research of twenty years, he came with the book called “Think and Grow Rich”. The book was written in 1937 and the facts and observations still stand. The book shows what rich people do to succeed and others don’t. They lead to action and in turn that leads to wealth. The book starts with a general introduction. Hill talks about the thirteen principles. That are – Desire, Faith, Autosuggestion, Specialized Knowledge, Imagination, Organized Planning, Decision, Persistence, The Master Mind, The Mystery of Sexual Sublimation, The Subconscious Mind, The Brain and The sixth Sense. The ends by telling us How to Outwit the Six Ghosts of Fear. The contents are very valuable and the language is that of early 19th century but easily understanding. It offers many questionnaires and practical exercises in addition to all the text. It gives you clear guide lines in how to set goals and reach them and how to make clear plans to follow. It also teaches you not to give up, and see all mistakes as learning opportunities. According to Hill, rich people never take small failures as permanent defeat. I think, this may be the first self-help book. If you like Law of Attraction, then its worth getting a copy of this book also and reading it. Think and Grow Rich has seen many editions since its first publication. You can find Think and Grow Rich in hardcover, in paperback, and on audio cassette.
