The Fine Print of Life brings to life the charmingly named Panna Lal, Hira Lal, Mishri Devi, Jalebi Devi, and others as they muddle through life in their search for happiness and success. Struggling to make it big but not sure what they really want from life, they reflect our own doubts, difficulties and apprehensions. As the author, through them, guides us to a new awareness of ourselves, he offers no prescriptions. What he does do is far more valuable: he enables us to create our own paths and see the possibilities of our own lives.
There is no magic wand to solving life's problems. But short of that, The Fine Print of Life shows us how we can live creatively and joyously. The book is not about making hard work of life. It is about letting go, effortlessly and spontaneously, and brings our childhood back, showing us how to live life in the here and now. With wonder and curiosity. Energy and enthusiasm. Trusting our impulses and acting upon them. Best of all, feeling life is beautiful and it is great to be alive.
highly readable fresh and original in its approach a fine combination of wisdom and humour the author is a highly successful life skills facilitator

Having heard about PS Wasu's life facilitation work shop before, seeing this book on the shelves prompted my attention and it was a great decision to buy it. As a facilitator, Wasu runs a mind training programme with the same name. As I was informed, his programmes are rather of the exploratory nature instead of going in and prescribing a panacea for any problem worth it under the sun.
We all search for happiness and success through our lives struggling for that big chance that will propel us to achievement and fame. However, most of us are terribly unsure of what we expect out of life and soon cast a plethora of doubts on our selves and think about ourselves in the most apprehensive manner. As we plod along in life, we often lose our clarity about ourselves and our goals.
I really liked Wasu's approach of bringing a new awareness to our lives through the stories of characters in the book like Panna Lal, Hira Lal, Mishri Devi, Jalebi Devi, and others. His non prescriptive nature of showing out a way through the muddle that we have created ourselves is perhaps the brightest aspect of this book.
So, I discovered that it is all up to us to find out our own ways in life through the guidance offered through this book as there is no one golden principle that will descend upon us to take away all our problems in one go. Rather than cursing ourselves, its best to reflect on our best qualities and make good use of them. While filling ourselves to the brim with energy and spontaneity, shouldn't life be led with creativity, enthusiasm and joy?
