STAY HUNGRY STAY FOOLISH

Truly Inspiring!! That was how I exclaimed on reading the book. I may have a point to make on the depth of the novel or rather the lack of it but it did make for a very interesting read.

Based on the entrepreneurial lives of 25 IIM graduates, the book reveals the secrets of their journey to the top. Since the book is essentially a compilation of excerpts from interviews with the IIM grads themselves, you get to hear about the companies, straight from the horse's mouth. This in a way limits the book and makes it unidirectional. Enhanced research and a second or third party opinion would have been a plus to the analytical competency, the book lacks.

But otherwise, 'stay hungry stay foolish' provides an insight into the lives of the young grads that chose to think different. The willingness to accept challenges, in bargain for a cozy MNC career is truly commendable. How many of us have the grit to do so? Well, instead of castigating the writer I choose to appreciate that the stories of the entrepreneurs were brought out in book form which is readable and enjoyable. No points for guessing if at all it was a motivational read.
