About the Author :

Thomas Hardy has contributed to Tess of the D'Urbervilles as an author. Thomas Hardy (1840-1928), enduring author of the twentieth century, wrote the classics Jude the Obscure, Tess of the d'Urbervilles, Far from the Madding Crowd, The Return of the Native, The Mayor of Casterbridge, and many other works.

Tim Dolin has contributed to Tess of the D'Urbervilles as an author. Tim Dolin is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Humanities at Curtin University of Technology in Perth, Western Australia. He is the author of George Eliot (2005) and has edited and written introductions for a number of Penguin and World's Classics editions of Hardy, including Tess of the d'Urbervilles, A Pair of Blue Eyes.
