She has worked as a stewardess for Air India, as a stewardess and flight safety instructor for Eastern Airlines in Miami, Florida, and as a Training Manager and Chief Manager Cabin crew for East West Airlines in Mumbai. She is an FAA and DGCA approved Flight Safety Instructor. She has been trained by Boeing in Seattle, USA, Fokker in Amsterdam, and IATA in Geneva, Switzerland, as a Flight Safety Instructor. She was the first women flight safety instructor in India and wrote the flight safety manual for East West Airlines.She has an MA from Madras University. She also graduated from the Graduate School at Miami University, USA, and taught history to undergraduates at Miami University. At present she lives in Bangalore and works as the Head of In-flight Services at Air Deccan. She also freelances as a corporate Trainer for multinational companies and the I T Industry. She has trained for GE, John F. Welch Technology Center, Hewlett Packard, IBM, SAP, EACoE, Misys, Intel, Digital, RCI, Millipore, Ingersoll Rand, KPMG, Netkraft, Sun Micro-systems, and many other companies. She specializes in training MNCs in Business Etiquette, Cross Cultural Sensitivity, Communication and Presentation skills, and Customer Service.
