    Most entertaining play

The Merchant of Venice by Williams Shakespeare is a fantastic play and it gives one of the best characters written ever. You will not be able to stop you once you start reading. The Merchant of Venice" focuses on marriage, couples (Bassanio/Portia, Lorenzo/Jessica, Gratiano/Nerissa) and their emotional and financial interrelationships. Shakespeare intended that the actions taken by Antonio, by Shylock, by Bassanio, and even by Portia be seen as comically extreme. The comic part is most enjoying in the novel. The writer is to present convincingly views on racism even if he disagrees with. The best writer would try to dismantle and disprove the very beliefs he holds dear. That Shakespeare has often been judged a racist. Shylock is the only sympathetic character in the play. This play has delighted audience for many years and will continue to do so. It is a great read and this critical edition aids the reader's understanding. This play is actually interesting and has superb characterization. Hats off to Shakespeare for this wonderful play. This play is serious we well as humorous. Definitely worth reading.
