  Emotional Tale

  This is an amazing tale of husband, wife, their two daughters and an illicit son. This book somehow reminds me of a bollywood flick “Masoom”. The story is exactly same. I enjoyed the movie a lot and so the book. This book shows how one mistake can shatter a happy family. The story centers around Bob and Sheila Beckwith who are happily married and have two daughters. They make a perfect family. But, Sheila gets shocked when she comes to know that Bob has an illicit son out of a night stand with a lady during his official tour. After the death of the child's mother, the father discovers the child and struggles to combine his family under one roof. The bond of trust and love that both share becomes frail. Many questions will come in your mind like will Sheila accept the son, will she forgive her husband or divorce him. These question will occupy you till you read the book. The story is interesting and very emotional. Sheila’s condition after her husband ditches her gets sympathy of the readers. The story describes feelings of a man torn between his family and his other son. The diction is readable and easy to understand. I am sure you will like the book a lot just the way I liked it. Round of applause for Erich Segal for writing such a beautiful and interesting love story with ups and downs.
