About the Book :
The Oath of The Vayuputras is the eagerly awaited third and final part of the Shiva Trilogy by Amish Tripathi. Shiva, as portrayed in the previous books of the series, is a mortal Tibetan Tribal Chief who becomes the savior of the people of Meluha and joins hands with the Nagas. In this part, Shiva realizes that Nagas are not his enemies and determines to unveil the root of all evil and his true enemy.
In this final part of the Shiva Trilogy, Shiva reaches to Panchavati, the capital of the Nagas and comes face to face with Evil, a name which instills fear in the hearts of the fiercest of warriors. Shiva who is also known as Neelkanth by now, prepares for a holy war against his true enemy. Come what may, Shiva must not fail now. A series of brutal battles begins and it convulses India. In desperation to win over Evil, Shiva reaches out to the Vayuputras, who have never offered any help to him previously. In this part, The Oath of The Vayuputras, he meets the chiefs of the Vasudevas and the Vayuputras in the hidden cities of Ujjain and Pariha.
The Oath of the Vayuputras is a significant part of the Trilogy in several aspects, one being that Shiva will come to know the reality about many old characters that he thinks are close to him and many new characters who have been introduced in this part. Many people die in the battles but will Shiva succeed in overthrowing Evil? If so, at what cost to himself and to India? Will he finally emerge as a God from a normal mortal existence? The Oath of The Vayuputras hence reveals the last and the vigorous journey that Shiva undertakes in order to destroy the evil.

Enjoyed reading the book, just like I did reading the other two in the trilogy. An excellent work of fiction, trying to view/explain Indian mythology in a different perspective. Very intelligently woven plot that tied up the loose ends to give a nice closure to the trilogy. Price is probably on the higher side - I got it for a promotional price of Rs. 195 + shipping. As usual Infibeam shipping was flawless - the delivery was fast and packing adequate. Received the book in good condition
It's bad to say that after the two so great books, Amish failed to give that effect in his third book. It may be called good enough to carry on. But not up to the expectations. Some kind of disappointment comes that it could have been better than what it is.
Thanks to Infibeam for providing such a wonderful book with a very reasonable cost. Infibeam website is well known for its quality books. Really good thing is that the book has been shipped within 2 days. Thanks a lot once again to Infibeam.
I received the book in top condition. Nothing to complain about that. The delivery man however delayed the delivery by a day just because no one answered the land line. When he called me up on my cell, I specifically told him that there are other people at the mentioned address who will receive the package on my behalf . Even then, it was delivered only after a day.
Book is awsome however In streets/railways station, its cost ranges from Rs.150/- to Rs.189/- only.
