For partitioning this HDD, use GUID Partition Table (GPT) instead of normal Master Boot Record (MBR) method because in the later case the Disk Space above 2 TB becomes inaccessible and unallocated. This can only be done in Windows 7.
If anyone already tried to partition and has used MBR, the remaining space can be recovered by uninitializing and reinitializing. (In command prompt, write DISKPART. then LIST DISK. Then select corresponding disk by SELECT DISK #. THen CLEAN ALL. Will take some time. To reinitialize just initialize from disk management and format)
