My first review on Infibeam... Yippie!!! :)
First things first - Infibeam delivered the headphones before the estimated due date, it was well packaged and I was kept informed via SMSes during the entire process. Kudos to Infibeam for that!
Next I'll talk about the product itself - The first thing that grabbed my attention was SoundMAGICÃÂs slogan - Listening magic sound Feeling SoundMAGICÃÂ. The next thought that comes to oneÃÂs mind - Is this some knockoff Chinese company selling subpar headphones? But let me assure you once you unbox the product, all your inhibitions will disappear. The headphones look superb, the aluminium construction is solid, the cord length is good and the earphones themselves are very light, so they can be used for long periods of time without any major discomfort.
I won't talk much about the sound quality as I'm not a qualified audiophile, but if you do some research on the internet, you'll find this IEM has been very highly rated by reviewers. For my personal use, the sound quality has been good, so no major complains there. If you are into rock, metal or hip-hop you'll be glad you bought these IEMs as they are just a bit bass heavy, but overall quite balanced.
What I did not like is the quality of the cord used - the cord feels flimsy and weak; I certainly don't recommend these IEMs for any heavy physical activity like running or working out in the gym. My fear is if not handled with care, these headphones won't last for long. Other issue with these IEMs is average sound isolation (and this could be just for me), but some cheaper headphones provide better isolation than PL21s. Getting custom foam tips from Comply could solve the issue, but then be prepared to shell out some more cash.
Overall, a recommended buy if one is looking for IEMs sub 1000; but be prepared for some compromises - I'll rate it 4/5!
