About the phone...
It looks very nice and slim, Performance is comparatively good in this price range... The main 2 problems are, no flash & front cam. Very good sound quality... And the free ear phone is really good... Bla bla bla bla...
overall i give 8/10. I recommend this phone.
Great for the price

CPU: A 1Ghz Snapdragon CPU is great for a bit of gaming and multitasking; though switching applications on the home screen can be a bit laggy, but this rectifies itself after a few swipes. Thanks to project butter and the Adreno 200 GPU, the interface is fairly nice to use.
The modest 320x480 HVGA display has 165 ppi. The low resolution of the screen allows mid-tier games, such as Subway surfer, Angry Birds, or Temple Run 2 run without any hiccups.
A few creaks when the sides are pressed too hard, but that's not too much of an issue. The front "glass" of the phone is PMMA (Polymethyl methacrylate), which is a hardened polymer. Though this can handle a few bumps, a decent screen guard would go a long way.
The body has a matt TPU coating that provides grippy, solid haptics. A chrome bar running along the sides pleasantly lights up in a blue glow at the bottom for notifications. Capacitive buttons have a silvery colour and are backlit for easy use.
The camera is a basic snapper that is just about decent in daylight. If you care for razor-sharp images, look elsewhere.
Audio playback on decent earphones is typical of SonyâÃÂÃÂsharp and clear with ample bass and low distortion. The phone also offers noise cancellation on calls. Audio reception is very clear even at low signal levels.
Sony has bloated the phone with a number of apps, most of which can be disabled without root.
Verdict: 9.5k might fetch you a bunch of Indian brands, or upcoming imported brands, such as those from Huawei or Lenovo. But this phone comes with the Sony Xperia branding, a considerably premium feel, and well-thought out interface. For those looking for a great little phone at a reasonable price point, this is a decent option that offers Jelly Bean (and with it, goodies like Google Now) out of the box, great sound, and a pleasant user experience on a small footprint. Overall, this is a very decent phone for those on a budget that gets the basics right, plays a few games, and looks great.
Good budget phone
By Ramya Manoj,
I have been using this for just the past week or so, and it seems to be good. The only con that I noticed is that when I use WiFi and play games also together, the battery power gets sucked out really fast. I had mainly taken this for it's HD Voice and Noise cancellation features, mainly for audio and for calls, and I have no complaints in that regard.
