Teri Meri Kahaani Movie Description

It starts off in the year 1960 with a young man named Govind (Shahid Kapoor), hopping onto a train going to Bombay, India. He ends up in an empty compartment with Ruksar (Priyanka Chopra), a young woman who eloped her home with her best friend to become a famous film star. Govind is an aspiring musician, and the two bond over their careers. They part ways after the train arrives into Bombay.
While looking for his hotel, Govind runs into a girl who assumes she is following him to her hotel. She then realizes he is staying at the hotel, and leaves flustered. After a few embarrassing encounters, the two gradually become friends. Meanwhile, Ruksar is eager to meet Govind again and the two hit it off at a gathering. When Govind notices a photojournalist following him and Ruksar, he holds his hotel friend's hand to mislead him, all the while not knowing she takes it seriously and falls for him. It is then revealed she is the friend Ruksar had eloped with, and the two meet to tell each other about the man they've met and fallen for. Ruksar tells her to bring her newfound love to her film screening, which Govind agrees to thinking he will tell her about his love for Ruksar once they arrive. Upon meeting, all 3 realize what's happened and part ways sadly.
