Initially, Infibeam took some time to process my order as they were having issues with payment gateway. I started to feel bad & thought It'd take too much time before the speaker arrives. Called customer care twice. 3 hrs after 2nd time call, I got shipping details & the speaker got delivered in 2 days after that.
Let me talk about the speaker first. I've listed the reasons why I went for a wireless speaker in the end, . You may be in similar needs.
Pros:
1. super clarity. zero distortion.
2. great sound quality with pleasant bass effect
3. Very easy to operate
4. Delivers lot better than a standard 2.1 system
Cons:
When you switch off & on it, the volume gets reset. Though you can control the volume from your bluetooth device, the volume level has to be set by physically pressing the buttons in the speaker.
Yet I don't see this as a problem since this speaker is meant to be kept connected to the power. You have to just connect/disconnect, pause/play music from your device. Still if you are concerned, turning the speaker off by pressing the power button in the back of the speaker doesn't reset the volume.
My needs:
1. Single piece - I don't like the look of 2.1 systems with independent satellite speakers.
2. wireless - again if you look at any 2.1 systems with so many wires running, that is so cumbersome.
3. Great audio quality
Initially I was thinking too much if I really should go for a wireless one or not but the mere thought of wire-clutter made me go for wireless. Also I was worried that sound quality of streaming audio will not be good compared to wired speakers. So I was considering JBL creature as another option. Still I use my mobile so much for browsing & music. As a simple use case, I would like to browse & listen to music lying on bed. Having wire running between the phone & speaker is not convenient.
Now, I can easily switch between mobile & laptop just by pressing the connect button on the speaker.
