    Theodore Boone : The Abduction

This wasn't a great read by far. One of the weakest books by Grisham.

    The Abduction

This is indeed a gripping novel by James Grippando who is also the author of the best selling Jack Swyteck series. Allison Leahy is the most renowned lawyer in America. She is blessed with a good marriage and a very successful professional life. She leads an enviable life as she is one of the highly touted Democratic nominees for the presidency. Her opponent is Lincoln Howe; a retired army general and both of them are apparently running neck and neck. Since the competition is neck to neck, they await an opportunity which might provide a push in the right direction. Their first nudge comes in the form of a shocking kidnap case involving a school girl who is apparently Lincoln Howe's granddaughter. The whole nation is appalled by this incident and there is a nation wide outrage. As attorney general, Allison Leahy sends out a nation wide search but to her dismay, the General wants her off the case. The case of the missing girl slowly transforms into a personal one for Allison Leahy. She is reminded of the unfortunate incident when her own adopted baby was kidnapped. Her personal crusade stumbles on secrets of her past, revealing shocking facts that may eventually break all her hopes. Does she make it to the top or her past catches on too fast and dishevels all that was put in order? Filled with suspense and thrill 'The Abduction' is one of the good reads of recent times. I have thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to its sequel.
