Good service, great deal, awesome book

Chetan Bhagat is already my favorite writer since I read his book One Night at The Call Centre and now his another novel 2 States. I was unable to control myself especially when it had 100% cash back offer on Infibeam. I immediately ordered and to your surprise I received the book very next day at my home instead of 3 business days. Great Service! I read the book is excellent it reveals the differences still we have in our mind for different states as it’s a story about a boy and girl from two different states of India, who fall in love and want to get married. Boy is Punjabi and girl a Tamil. Their parents do not agree. The story tells us how hard the love marriage in India is and how easy it is all over World. The story clearly reveals the life of the author as he also faced similar problem as he also did love marriage with a Tamil girl being Punjabi himself. The issue of love marriage is already heavy and it becomes harder if the two parties are from different states speak different languages. The whole process of convincing everyone and getting married and to come up to expectations of everyone is so hard that by the time the actual marriage happens there may be very little love left between them. By this book the author at end reveals the truth that marriages outside state are really good as it will help India become one rather than having differences. Buying this book at Infibeam has made the experience better as it was almost free for me with 100% cash back. Quality of the book was also good and getting the book very next day was amazing! I only prefer Infibeam for books now.

    good in parts

The book is good in parts, but lousy in others. The role of hero's father changes with out any prior indication. May be I missed out on some details which were removed by editorial dept. I never knew that in Indian institutions such as IIMs, boys and girls can live together in hostels. May be they happen in IITs too

Good but not the best work of Chetan Bhagat

"2 States" is really good and capivating like other books of Chetan, but I strongly feel that he should improve his style in a better way. I know he has got the capabilities of winning "BOOKER PRIZE''. I wish that his next book will not only be a reader's eye candy but also a 'pleasure to read' for critics and guys like me. But any ways I love Chetan Bhagat as he has inspired me to write, and may be when his next book will launch my own book will also be selling on the stands.

    next day delivery

Being a regular reader of all Chetan Bhagat books, i was very curious to read the forthcoming book 2 states. I gathered the information about the publication date and one of my friends suggested me to buy online this time instead of visiting crosswords everytime. and decided to place an order. Honestly speaking this is my first time to order online, i was bit afraid of delivery date and the process. i placed an order on 9th October 2009 10:00am and i was astonished that i received this book on 10th Oct-2009 at 12:00PM. The other thing surprised me was 70rs gift voucher. then I came to know that these guys are offering 100% cash back offer. This site accomplishes all the promises done, i am delighted with their service and in future too i hope to be delighted with this type of service. I am yet to read this book, will update the book review once i am done.

2 States-A tale on an intricate Indian wedding

Five Point Someone, One Night @ The Call Centre and the Three Mistakes Of My Life were hugely successful books written by Chetan Bhagat, who currently wields the reins of the popular reading genre. He is aptly known as a laudable and effective writer of Indian origin. With due respect to the winners of coveted awards, (I have read and enjoyed their books as well) I must add, there is an exclusive aura about his books. They impress with their originality, impeccable outline of literature and interesting content which is often laced with ethnicity. His books exude a sense of mass appeal like none other, in similar genres. The 2 States is his fourth and soon to be released novel, where he speaks of marriages in India and the hairpin bend routes that one has to traverse while opting for a love marriage. The book deals with a marriage between two individuals hailing from two different states, therefore the name. It throws light on the complexity of inter state marriages, the significant roles families play while approving the marriage and the mayhem that often envelopes love marriages. Having read his earlier books, I am more than enthusiastic to read this one. Slated for a Diwali release, the ‘2 States’ is certain to be a hit with the masses. Have the ancient barriers and mental blocks died their natural death; or do they pop up in the story, every once in a while? The author of the three bestselling novels, narrates all this and more in his latest and much awaited novel.

A leaf from Chetan's own Life

As an avid reader of Chetan Bhagat's previous novels, I have been eagerly looking forward to his latest novel "2 States - A story of my Marriage" which is going to be released most probably on 8th October 2009. I have really enjoyed reading his previous novels, and I really admire his creativity and wittiness, so I expect this novel to be equally great as well. For those who would like to know more about this novel, it draws heavily upon Bhagat's personal life. Bhagat is a Punjabi from Delhi and Anusha is from Tamil Nadu, who met at IIM, and fell in love with each other. After a difficult time convincing their parents, they finally got married. They now have two twins from their marrage. On similar lines, the novel is a witty take on inter community marriages in India. The story revolves around Krish and Ananya who are from two different states in India and are desperately in love with each other. They want to get married, but they have a tough time in convincing their parents. The novel is also about the culture shock that takes place when the families face each other and also the rigors faced during the entire period. Such episodes are now not uncommon in the country as people interact and meet more and more and older barriers break down. Chetan has also left his job as a banker and now devotes his time to full-time writing. He also has written the script of the Bollywood Movie 'Hello' which was based on the call centre novel. To the best of my knowledge, other Chetan Bhagat's novels are being made into movies also. I wish him all the best for his future writing efforts.
