Fordâs Flamboyance & Finesse Flabbergasts

After going thru the reviews on your site, I decided to write one for the benefit of others. I bought my dream car Ford Ikon Flair six months back. Before buying, I had zeroed down on two cars, Maruti Esteem or Ford Ikon, keeping the budget constraint in mind. I had budgeted around 5-5.5 Lacs. Esteem failed to inspire my wife, especially the height, even the looks were not that great. So finally I had Ford Ikon Flair as my partner. As times passed by, my car was there besides me. Never letting me down. It has got good suspension and control. In cities it would give me a mileage of 12kmpl while on highways it would go up to to 15-16kmpl. Which I felt was quite satisfactory. The best part being that I liked its pickup. Biege interiors are incomparable. It gives you a luxurios feel. Drive is very comfortable. However there some frustrating facets of this car also. The powersteering and the noise emitted, is quite disappointing. Even the space inside is not that good.
Anyways, overall the car provides good value for money.

Other better options are available

When I was planning to buy a new car, I found that Ford family has recently introduced a new car, Ford Icon. So I thought let me have a test drive before deciding any car.

Its bold exteriors and superior quality alloy wheels make it a car worth to be considered. It comes in 6 exciting colours in which paprika red I found the most appealing one.

But yeah I got a review from a friend using the same car that it gives poor performance and low mileage in city when ac is on which left me thinking whether to buy it or notâ¦
Also the driver seat has short position which is specially designed for short people which leaves very little space to adjust for people having more height.

It has safety features like front and rear side impact door beams, front and rear seat belts, central locking, child proof rear lock but these features are also present in other car of the same range.

All in all there are many other better options available in the market than to opt for this car.
