When I purchased Elantra two years back, I compared with Skoda Octavia, Corolla, and Optra before making the final decision. Truly I couldn't stop people from asking about the car after a first look as this has a European look and not that visible on city roads like it's peers. Its a power plant and true value for price. Driving Elantra is very smooth and comfortable. I mostly travel on highways rather than city and it easily gives me an average of 11.5 km/pl. The well built ABS and TCS gives perfect driving control. AC is chills quickly. Music is system is like disco, quality of the sound system is very good but only problem is its a MP3 player. Steering and road grip is also excellent.
I have realised after purchasing this expensive white elephant that dont like the Elantra. Earlier I was taken in by the advertisements as an aerodynamic model and first luxury sedan. However, the Honda Civic is definitely much better car with much elegance and refinement than this poor Korean copy.
Also the ABS was not functioning correctly when I first purchased it, and the dealer did not want to do any thing on this. We said we will go to consumer court, so they finally repaired the ABS on the car. I have learnt the lesson in the hard way so I will drive my Elantra till I am satisfied that I want to dispose it.
