Hyundai Verna comes in petrol and diesel options. The diesel option has a new 1.5-litre, 16-valve CRDi engine that delivers a 110 PS of peak power at 4,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 24 kgm from as low as about 1,900 rpm.

The petrol option has 1.6-litre engine that the VTVT (Variable Timing Valve Train) technology. It generates a peak power of 103.2 PS at 5,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 14.9 kg-m at 3,000 rpm.

The top-end petrol engine variant of Verna comes with features such as 2-DIN music system, alloy wheels, automatic climate control, leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, rear wheel disc brakes and ABS

The Hyundai Verna CRDI SX ABS is Verna's top of the line diesel avatar with ABS safety technology and state-of-the-art 1.5 litre, turbocharged Common Rail Direct Injection (CRDi) engine with a Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT). This model along with considerably reducing turbo lag has top end features including automatic climate control. Typical city mileage is between12.5 kmpl and 17 kmpl depending upon driving conditions.

Along with other premier features, this model features attractive wood grain interior, two Din music system with four speakers, glove box lamp, dual height adjustable driver's seat, central arm rest, adjustable rear head rest for added comfort. Additionally, other features like front seat back pocket, seat back hook, and electrically adjustable OVRMs make this car a desirable option.
