The Verna comes as a mid sized sedan that has roomy interiors but presents itself with a compact exterior. The petrol option has 1.6-litre engine that the VTVT (Variable Timing Valve Train) technology. It generates a peak power of 103.2 PS at 5,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 14.9 kg-m at 3,000 rpm.

The top-end petrol engine variant of Verna comes with features such as 2-DIN music system, alloy wheels, automatic climate control, leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, rear wheel disc brakes and ABS

The Hyundai Verna XI is built around Hyundai's remarkable VTVT technology. It is an upscale model with higher price tag in the VTVT series. The Verna XI features Hyundai's renowned variable timing valve train 1.6L 16V DOHC petrol engine. This variant has a seating capacity of 5 people. Available in 5-gear manual transmission, it offers a decent fuel economy of around 15.1 kmpl on the highways and 9.7 kmpl in city driving conditions, thereby offering an overall fuel economy of around 10.8 kmpl.
