Maruti Suzuki Ritz is yet another impressive tallboy hatchback from Maruti Suzuki. Based on the Swift platform, the brilliance of the Ritz lies in its tall roofline. This allows a relatively high seating position for its occupants. The Maruti Suzuki Ritz Lxi is the entry level petrol variant in the Maruti Suzuki Ritz series. Featuring a 1197 cc 4 cylinder K12M petrol engine, it delivers a maximum power of 85 ps at 6000 rpm and a maximum torque of 113 Nm at 4500 rpm offering brilliant top speeds and great pickups. The engine confirms to BS IV norms. It features a 5 speed manual transmission. With ventilated front disc brakes and rear drum brakes, it offers effective braking even at high speeds. The Lxi variant comes with 165/80 14 inch R 14 tyres. With a seating capacity of 5 people, it has a fuel tank of 43 litres, thus making it an optimum vehicle for moderate distances.

This variant comes with advanced front suspension (McPherson strut with coil sprint) and strong rear suspension (Torsion beam and coil spring). It is also included with a standard power assisted steering with a minimum turning radius of 4.7 meters, thus offering easy manoeuvrability in tight situations.
