Maruti Versa DX2 8 Seater is top range variant with top level price tag in the Versa Series with a seating capacity of eight people. It features Maruti's powerful 1298 cc SOHC engine with MPFi fuel system that delivers good power and torque, meaning thereby good performance, acceleration and handling.
The Maruti Versa DX2 8 seater has a 40 litre fuel tank. The power unit is connected to a manual five gear transmission. The 8-seater Versa is capable of providing a fuel economy of around 10 kmpl to around 13 kmpl depending upon driving conditions.
Maruti Versa DX2 8 seater includes top level comfort and safety features. I am sure the Maruti Versa DX2 8 seater is Marutiâs answer to the Omni where a large group of people feel insecure due to poor safety aspects of the vehicle. The Versa is a sturdy vehicle, but the high roof with narrow width does perplex me about the design aspect.
However, the Versa has a good engine that gives good performance especially on long routes. I actually liked the performance and pickup of the engine, as it created no noise during acceleration or reduction in the speed of the car.
The a/c also performed very nicely, but I refrain from switching on the ac whenever I take a full load of people. Otherwise the car struggles to pick up power from the engine. The safety aspects are good also, it comes with side impact absorbing beams, front impact beams, height adjustable head restraints, collapsible head restraints, and others. Only problem is low fuel efficiency, and Safety features include side-impact absorbing beams, front-impact beams and a steel pipe frame in the rear seat.
Height adjustable head restraints, brake boosters and a collapsible steering column are the other safety features. Itâs a great buy, and the best part is it lasts out for long-long years.
