The FLY LX 500 is a slider phone and is a recent introduction by the prominent mobile phone vendor FLY. It surely belongs to the premium class of mobiles. The Fly LX500 is equipped with a 2.2-inch TFT display that can display 262k colours with a resolution of 240x320 pixels. A unique point in the fly LX500 is the presence of backlights that notify incoming messages, received messages, flip actions and missed calls.

There are 10 variants, or you can also create your own backlight mode using the settings provided. The slider phone has an inbuilt 3.2 mega pixel camera with digital zoom and auto focus function. Further, it can record video in MPEG4 and 3GP (H.263) formats. The phone also has a media player, FM tuner with scheduled recording function, photo editor, electronic book and TV out for wide screens. The phone memory is 88 MB and can be easily extended with the help of a micro SD card. The LI-Ion battery is capable of providing a talk time of 4 hours and a standby time of up to 170 hours.
