The nokia 5230 XpressMusic is a brilliant phone with great design and music features and a great social networking tool as well. For local connectivity and synchronization, the phone supports Bluetooth, MTP, direct printing to compatible printers and support for PC Sync with Nokia Ovi Suite. For service, there is Speaker-independent name dialling (SIND) also.

The Nokia 5230 also supports a variety of call features, messaging, e-mail, web browsing, GPS and navigation features also. For photography, the phone is equipped with 2 megapixel camera that supports JPEG image format. Moreover, this camera is equipped with a CMOS sensor, 3x digital zoom, dedicated camera key, landscape orientation, photo editor, white balance modes, and other features. For video, the main camera records in .mp4 and .3gp file formats while recording audio in WAV (normal), AMR (MMS), AAC/MP4 (high quality) formats. There is a playback facility as well along with other sophisticated functions.
