A variety of other features are also provided such as Speaker-independent name dialling (SIND), call features such as integrated handsfree speakerphone, automatic answer with headset or car kit, any key answer, call waiting, call hold, and call divert, and call duration display.

There is automatic logging of dialled, received and missed calls, automatic redial, speed dialling, side volume keys, and many other functions. Messaging features include MMS version 1.3 with a messaging size of up to 600 kb and also Nokia Xpress audio messaging. Supported mark-up languages for web browsing include XHTML and TCP/IP support.

For the use of photography, the Nokia X3 has a 3.2 megapixel camera, which supports the JPEG format along with a CMOS sensor. Additional features include full-screen viewfinder, full focus, and 4x digital zoom along with a range of brilliant functions. The main camera for video is capable of recording at up to 176 x 144 pixels (QCIF) and up to 15 fps and supports a range of file formats such as .3gp and MPEG-4 with audio recording formats in AMR-NB.

For music and audio playback, the Nokia X3 has a music player onboard and dedicated music keys with a stereo FM radio with RDS support. Additional features include 3.5 mm stereo headphone plug, Nokia Music, Nokia Music Store support, ring tones, integrated stereo speakers, Navi wheel support. For voice and audio recording, the phone supports voice commands and voice recorder. For personalization, the phone supports ring tones, video ring tones, and themes.

The Nokia X3 supports the S40 6th edition with voice commands and FOTA (Firmware update Over the Air). The personal information management system has contacts, clock, calendar etc, while a range of applications such as Java MIDP 2.0, Flash Lite 3.0, messaging, Nokia PC Suite and Nokia Music are also provided.
