The latest venture from the stables of Yamaha, Yamaha Gladiator JA is a newly developed model, designed on the concept of next generation Fun bike. Radical technological inputs, for example Alloy triple clamp; Twin-pod instrument cluster; Separate speedo and fuel-gauge clocks; Can display turn indicators & neutral indicator lamp; Clear lens winker in the rear; Self/electric start; Disc brakes; Alloy wheels for the Deluxe version; Disc brake at the front; Drum at the rear are some of the flaunted features of this model.

Comfort

• Counter balancer for the crankshaft enables the Gladiator to reduce vibrations at higher speeds

• Suspension on both these bikes are not class leading and particularly makes longer ride quite distressing with its very soft seats.
• Yamaha gearbox's heel shifter is too small and tends to slip during quick acceleration moves while gear shifting from first to second is little bit notchy on Glamour
• counter balancer is introduced to run the bike at a greater speed without major vibrations
• Its smoother engine gives a noiseless riding which makes the journey more enjoyable.

Mileage and Economy

• 13 lit fuel tank
• 65-70 kmpl is the user reported average
• The 5-speed transmission lets the rider make the most of a wide power band to experience excellent performance in both around-town and high-speed riding
• YTPS - Yamaha Throttle Positioning Sensor BS carburetor; Offers better mileage
• The bike can take a turn even at a 90 degree angle without breaking speed

  Best Bike in 125 segment

  Well i would say that it is amongst the best bike in 125 segment. I own gladiator SS which is a new further model of JA. The bike has a perfect blend of speed and handling. I just love its stability on corners and consistent performance at all speeds.

  Wait and watch is what i doing rite now

  I recently bought a Gladiator Deluxe, black coloured and am having a nice time on it. I had tested Pulsar 150 and Super Splendour before zeroing in on Gladiator. As the Yamaha bug had already smitten me, I cared the least for its market position. I test drove the motorcycle before going for it and I pretty much liked it. The cornering was excellent and braking was precise. I then booked one and took the delivery the very next day. The new bike was not as good as the test drive vehicle and it felt very unstable. The dealer told me that it would be better after the first servicing is done. The pick up also has to improve and the brakes are very sensitive. So as of now, I can just and wait and watch, till the first service is done.
